She is trying to learn..
She is trying to write..
One Two Three’s
And ABC’s.Holds the crayons
With her little fingers
Scribbles on paper
In various colors.Lots of papers
Lots of crayons
Here and there
Everywhere..Once it is finished
It looks all rubbish
But these are the moments
I love to cherish.
Poem for Poetry 101 Rehab :Rubbish

Lovely poem. I can identify because I live with my grandchildren and their parents. Each day they learn something new. π

Those first scribbles are definitely the most important, they open up the world of art and writing to little ones! Thanks for linking up with #BeyondMommyingSiS

I enjoyed reading your poem, and seeing how you used the rubbish theme for art with your child! My son loved his drawing and doodle pads! We kept them and dated them! (My mom was a closet poet!)

Treasuring them is a nice idea.. I’ll too do the same with the date written on it..

Of course it’s not rubbish! Not on any level. Your poem is a beautiful tribute to the little learner, very moving. Thank you for sharing it!

It is not rubbish, for sure. Her efforts to learn and the joy of playing with colors.
