It was way back in 2010, summer was at peaks n I got the opportunity to visit Agra , I was too excited about my trip as I would be visiting Taj Mahal. It took around 4 hours drive from Delhi to Agra . We were sweating , exhausted n it was peak afternoon .All through my bus journey I was desperate to reach my destination.
When we entered through this red entrance, the only thing we could see was white …Marble structure..though there was too much public n crowd , the white structured overpowered it creating a Hush.
All our exhaustion , tiredness vanished looking at this beautiful monument.
Taj Mahal was built by the order of Mugal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaaz.
Taj Mahal took around 17 years to build.. And involved more than 20,0000 people for its construction.
Taj Mahal stands in the southern banks of Yamuna River..
It’s belived that Taj Mahal takes different colors at different time of day
The minarets are around 130 ft tall..
Floral designs on the marble..
Shah Jahan cut off the fingers of all the people who were involved in the construction of Taj Mahal as he did not want it to be remade by anyone..
